It’s time to start thinking about heading back to school! Supplies, locker combinations, books, and fees are probably swirling in your head. One more important thing to think about – shots.
One of Illinois’ newest required vaccines cannot miss your list – meningitis. The vaccination for meningococcal disease is required for students entering sixth and twelfth grades. This may come as a shock for your teenager who is preparing to graduate, but without this shot, he or she may not be allowed to attend school this fall.
What can you do to make this vaccine process a little easier? Easy – get it at the Pharmacy. Call ahead for a convenient appointment time and ask our Pharmacist if your child qualifies for a Pharmacy-administered vaccine. Fast, friendly, and affordable – back-to-school vaccines have never been easier.
