Happy Easter!! I’ve always loved this time of year because it’s the deep of spring. We’re finally out of the bitter cold of winter and looking ahead to the long, sunny days of summer. This year, with the COVID-19 pandemic getting a little bit smaller every day as more and more vaccines roll out, I’m excited to really enjoy the warmer part of the year – and I’m going to need to do some shopping before I can truly get into the post-Easter spirit. Luckily, I’ve spent lots of time strolling through town to come up with the best list of local places to shop as we end spring. Check out all of these Mt. Vernon favorites!
I like to start the day with lunch at Agave Mexican where I can get my fill of chips, salsa, and queso for my local shopping spree.
Then I head over to VIP Nails near the mall where I wait while my friends get mani-pedis for their upcoming spring break vacations
Afterward, I stop by People’s National Bank for top-notch customer service.
Next, I make my way to M.E. Jackson Jewelers to pick out some gifts for my sister’s upcoming birthday and cousin’s graduation.
For an afternoon treat, Farmhouse Bakery has to be my next stop. I am such a sucker for sweets and their fresh pastries are my absolute favorites.
Then I’m on my way to Byrd-Watson Medical Downtown for affordable sneakers and while I’m there I can’t help but get the newest Vera Bradley bag for a Mother’s Day gift.
My best friend meets me at Savvy Boutique where she gets her entire summer wardrobe in one afternoon.
For the rest of the day, we stop by King City Books for a good coffee and new book to read once classes are done for the semester.
Dinner is the last stop of the day and we do it at RARE Chop House where we’re celebrating the end of spring and looking forward to the coming days of a beautiful summer.
